My Vaccine Philosophy

I am strongly pro-vaccine. So much so, that I wrote an Op Ed piece for the Los Angeles Times. In the Times article, published on May 1, 2019, I talk about my personal experience on the front lines of a measles epidemic in 1988-90.

Although I am a strong proponent of vaccines, unvaccinated and vaccine-hesitant people are welcome in the practice. My approach to those who are under-immunized is to have a conversation. I would like to hear your concerns, and to have a chance to address them. After hearing what I have to say, many of my patients make the choice to become immunized. For those who are not ready, the conversation continues.
