Preteens, teens, and young adults (ages 10 through 25) may be seen as new patients.
Office hours are by appointment. Your first visit will take approximately 90 minutes, or up to two hours for complex problems such as eating disorders. If you are below college age, it is best to have a parent accompany you to the office the first time. Parents of young adults are also welcome. Follow-up visits are shorter, usually 15, 30, or 45 minutes, depending on the time required to address your concern.
Patients generally continue in the practice until their 30th birthday. Referral to an internist may occur earlier if adult conditions develop, for example high blood pressure.

A Note About Health Insurance
We care about your health as much as you do.
Please note that we do not work directly with insurance companies. This allows Dr. Schack to give you as much time as you need and protect your confidentiality, resulting in higher quality of care.
Although we do not participate in any insurance networks, most PPO insurance plans will cover a portion of our services. If you choose to use your out-of-network health benefits, we will submit a claim to your insurance company as a courtesy. (It is not guaranteed that services provided will be covered by your specific insurance plan). For information about reimbursement rates, contact your insurance provider regarding out-of-network benefits.
If laboratory tests are ordered (x-rays, ECG, blood work etc.), these are generally considered in-network, as the hospital or laboratory will likely have their own arrangement with your insurance plan.
